Import a Singapore bank statement into QuickBooks from a PDF
Convert a UOB, DBS, POSB, OCBC or Maybank statement PDF into the 3-column CSV QuickBooks Online accepts, and upload it.
QuickBooks Online accepts a simple three-column CSV for manual bank uploads.
The format
- Date (dd/mm/yyyy, matching your QuickBooks region setting)
- Description
- Amount, signed: negative for money out, positive for money in
Steps
- Get the eStatement PDF from your bank.
- On StatementSheet, set the format to QuickBooks CSV and drop the PDF. The download is already in the three-column shape.
- In QuickBooks: Transactions → Bank transactions → Link account ▾ → Upload from file.
- Choose the CSV, pick the account, map Date / Description / Amount (QuickBooks usually detects them), and import.
A note on dates
If QuickBooks reads 05/09/2024 as May 9 instead of 5 September, your company's date format is set to US. Change it under Settings → Account and settings → Advanced → Date format, or re-import after switching.
